Fort Lee NJ, as travelers pack up their cars and gear up for the upcoming July Fourth holiday weekend, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey remains committed to providing safe passage for all travelers throughout the region.
Between the hours of 10 p.m. Friday, July 1 and 6 a.m. July 2, the Port Authority Police Department will conduct Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) checkpoints at the Port Authority’s Hudson River crossings. Drivers will be subject to random inspection and police will also distribute literature on the dangers of drinking and driving.
