Washington DC, President-elect Donald Trump made waves Friday evening with a bold call to action regarding the mysterious drones reported across New Jersey and other parts of the country. Taking to Truth Social, Trump urged authorities to take decisive measures, including shooting down the unidentified drones, while hinting at possible government knowledge of the incidents.

“Mystery Drone sightings all over the Country. Can this really be happening without our government’s knowledge. I don’t think so! Let the public know, and now. Otherwise, shot them down!!! DJT,” he wrote.
Trump’s statement comes amid increasing reports of drone sightings over New Jersey, New York, and as far as Delaware and Philadelphia counties, as noted by WPVI-TV.

Prominent figures, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), and New Jersey Senators Cory Booker and Andy Kim, sent a letter to the FBI, Department of Homeland Security, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). They demanded a detailed briefing on the drones and questioned the efforts being made to identify and mitigate the source of these incidents.

The unusual drone activity has sparked curiosity and concern, especially given its proximity to critical military sites. On Friday, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) received a classified briefing on the sightings, signaling the issue’s significance at the highest levels of government.
