Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood blog readers have come up with a way for the Village to raise money to contribute to the parking revenue deficit .
According to blog readers the Village should raffle off naming rights for the Hudson Street garage.
Raffle tickets could be purchased by everyone , students, business owners, developers, restaurant owners and employees, parents ,guild members, chamber members, basically all residents and RHS alumni.
The winner would receive naming rights for one year .They could name it after a RHS graduate, a class, a business or person and so on .
How about “Paulie’s Pavilion”?
How about a big sign in front future leasing opportunities.
How about turning a few floors into sports entertainment. Top floor outside movie theater, second-floor pickle ball, and so on

Knowing how the Village manages our finances, the revenue generated by the raffle would likely not cover the costs associated with the naming rights. Again, best that our town managers stay out of the business of running a business.
Why can’t a business purchase the naming rights for a set period of time? (I’m sure a realtor wouldn’t mind.)

Just ask the residents who have multiple spots tenting for profit to name it!
Just have a corporation come put their name on it.. generate some revenue for once instead of wasting money!
How about just putting the price on it, as well as the current parking rate at the kiosks (including ParkMobile’s fee)?

They should contact the contractor who built it and find out what they can utilize that site for , Besides parking. This is not working. They should’ve just reconstructed the parking lot and go from there
Do you know what the problem is the location. This was a poor investment, they should invest in smokin garage behind Village Hall and library. Because there they need parking. Allowing people that are using the library to park at the garage for free. I don’t have a shuttle running back-and-forth
