The tribe has also been charged with moving soil without permission.
MAHWAH — The Ramapough Lenape Nation must go to court to fight summonses issued by the township alleging that the Native American tribe erected teepees and tents on a property off Halifax Road without permission.
Their sense of entitlement is hilarious.
Are the tents a protest or they just using conservation land for their heritage festival?
They have their own land, why not use that? If they chose to live in some magical time machine that is fine with me.
A guy goes into his psychiatrist’s office, sits on the couch, and starts kvetching. “I’ve got this weird thought that keeps rattling around in my head,” he tells his doctor. “First I think I’m a wigwam. Next I think I’m a teepee. It keeps going back and forth. I’m a wigwam, I’m a teepee, I’m a wigwam, I’m a teepee. I can’t stand it!!” The doctor diagnoses him in an instant. “Relax…you’re two tents!”
