Reader says Have Paul and Al learned nothing from the Valley fiasco?

46 emails and mulitple meetings between only two councilmen, meetings that other council people were not aware of despite asking if anyone was meeting with developers does not sound above board, nor ethical given the scope of zoning changes being asked of the village. Have Paul and Al learned nothing from the Valley fiasco.

And the irony of Gwenn “can’t we all just get along” Hauck, blaming Bernie Walsh for the dysfunction on the Council, while Al didn’t even have the courtesy to stay seated while Bernie spoke, (or tried to speak – as Paul gave the floor to everyone but her), was laughable.

Paul and Al are bullies and appear to be in bed with the developers. And I would strongly recommend that the League of Women Voter’s review the tape – because in my view they are misogynists as well.

  1. The valley fiasco didn’t really turn out all that bad, mayor Pfund is the judge, Tom Richie got elected to the council, Keith Killion got elected to the council and ultimately took care of unfinshed buisness he had at village hall. Tom Richie was excoriated on this blog as a traitor by those who supported him but he’s still on the council. Now you have the Mayor and deputy mayor being accused of the same wrongdoings as mayor Pfund was during his tenure but he’s a municipal judge now. Strange buisness this politics, no one is ever satisfied, lots of people complain and accuse as a tactic to slow or stop governmental process. No wonder it’s so hard to get anything done.

  2. It is a shame that posters on this blog are so eager to condemn Pucciarelli, without any basis in fact. Anyone who knows him knows that he chose to serve our community because he wanted to make a positive difference on behalf of his fellow residents. Aronsohn may aspire to higher elected office. But, Pucciarelli has no such agenda. Any of the self-appointed watchdogs on this blog believe that it is possible to serve as a councilman without having meetings or sending e-mails outside of the scheduled public meetings on Wednesday nights are naive. It is approrpiate to include all council members on some e-mails. Clearly, this is not necessary or even appropriate in all cases.

Bernie and the overly PC critics on this blog should gain a better understanding of the Sunshine Laws before leveling outrageous allegations that waste taxpayers’ time and money. Let’s stop the witch hunting and get on with the business of fixing the serious problems facing Ridgewood residents and taxpayers.

  3. #2 Pucciarelli is an arrogant SOB and I’ve watched his actions over the years on the planning board. Why didn’t he shut his mouth the other night when Walsh was speaking, because he couldn’t control himself. You call it PC we all call it following the Law. Maybe he needs to go back to law school!

    1. Or maybe Bernie needs to actually understand what the Sunshine Law really says, when it applies and when it doesn’t…

  4. The only way to shut Pucciarelli up is if his toupee came off and fell into his mouth

  5. Pucciarelli recuse himself tonight from Planning Board application for the Dayton. Meeting still in progress. Now we all have to say, WTF!

  6. #2, tell me if I have this right. What you are basically saying is: “So what?” or its close cousin: “What difference — at this point — does it make?”
