Reader says Once again we have Aronsohn, Pucciarelli & Hauck voting in a block

Once again we have Aronsohn, Pucciarelli & Hauck voting in a block. I find this kind of cronyism to be disturbing since each of these 3 has a personal agenda that seems to be guaranteed support by a majority in the Council. Probably legal, but definitely troubling.

It will be interesting to see what happens if the Valley expansion comes to a Council vote. Hauck continues to refuse to recuse herself and Aronsohn is asking tough questions at the Planning Board hearings. Could this be the end of the pre-packaged majority or is our Mayor just posturing?

  1. Did anyone catch Mayor Aronsohns comment on Wednesday night about discussing all members of the council and the topic of recusal. A rumor has been going around that Pucc is going to come out and vote on Valley. I think that was the first intro to the public that this is going to happen.

  2. I really don’t see the see the mayor voting for this. He, like most others on the PB, see this over the top request for exactly what it is. It is not good for Ridgewood and any logical thinking person can certainly figure that out. Politics aside, in my mind he is logical.

As for the others, I don’t really know how you can recuse yourself from voting on a PB issue and then turn around and not recuse yourself from voting on the same issue at the Council level.

As for Ms. Hauck, well, let’s just say her inaction, as well some of the actions taken by others in her defense, have been amusing. If nothing else, it sure has made this whole thing more interesting.

  3. Mr. Pucciarelli needs to quell growing concerns and announce to the public that he will keep his campaign promise and recuse himself on Valley, not only at the Planning Board level, as he has done, but also on the Council level. Period.

  4. Unfortunately, in her mind she is doing ” the right thing.”
