Reader says the Mayor has turned the Graydon Ramp into an “us versus them” issue
Ridgewood NJ, An important point not being addressed is that the mayor, probably as recommended by White Horse Consultants, has turned the Graydon Ramp issue into an “us versus them” situation as a smokescreen. No one is considering the concept and design, in that location, on its merits.
Will this thing actually help anybody while ruining things for everyone else, chipping away to wreck a historic structure, creating an eyesore in a lovely park 12 months a year, and exacerbating already severe flooding? In other words, what makes the proposed ramp worth these losses? Can’t people see how insane it would be to push disabled people into 12 feet of water? Those are questions we wish more people were asking.
The idea is so clearly and intrinsically dumb that it should have been rejected the second after someone had it. It should never have been allowed to waste so much of the village engineer’s and everyone else’s time and snowball to this point. Now it’s a monster in more ways than one.
As usual Mr. Richie’s letter did not have any other Council members signatures..

See that’s your problem #1, he has his own mind and doesn’t need to corral any other council members to speak it. That is what we elected 5 individuals not 3 amigos.

That’s because Mayor Paul S Aronsohn says it was blue and no other Council person has the balls to disagree because our Carpetbagger Mayor will vilify you at the next meeting. What a Tyrant.

I admire Mr. Riche for taking a stand on this, and I happen to agree with him about the ramp. Even if i did not agree with him, I would still admire him for thinking independently. The TERRIBLE TRIO has to be stopped. They are like a giant three-headed monster with only one brain (and a pitiful one at that). COME to the meeitng on Wedensday night to show your support for Richie and your disdain for Aronpuchauck..
