Reader says the mayor is desperate to smoke a few detractors for purposes of uncivil public vilification
Is the Mayor inviting a public protest? They must be sorely tired of taking on anonymous blog commenters and are now desperate to smoke a few of their detractors out of their caves for purposes of uncivil public vilification. OTOH, to allow the Mayor to even think he is defining the terms of this debate by conducting multiple successive non-public public cumbaya meetings without friction or any sign of philosophical opposition to his agenda seems risky too. Persistent and pesky is this Aronsohn. But ultimately, I think the Force is not strong with this one.
Yawn, why do you have such an axe to grind ? You just constantly complain about robo-calls, the three Amigos, and have a constant beef with the way the Council makes decisions. What is the purpose of your broken record ? Maybe previous councils were more Civil, but OTOH, the fix was in with previous Councils. Why are you such a hater?
#! you act like it is a single person who complains. That is probably becaus you are one of the three amigos, who would like nothing more than to promote the idea that everyone loves them except for one hater. Gimme a break. How stupid do you think the pubic is. Election day is coming, just over a year, you three will be gone, thanks be to GOD
OTOH the fix is not in with the builders and the developers? BTW your are not texting so you can spell it out.
OMG the three Amigos must have the kids posting. LOL
Hey #1 GAFC
Number 5, dropping the F letter. At long last, sir or ma’am, have you no civility? The C may be reading this B! JK LOL.

Haters gonna hate… you have an axe to grind, and refuse to explain your own agenda or what alternative world you think is better. Why did you prefer the previous regime, with rampant conflicts of interest, annual 5~7% municipal tax increases, and an outright unresponsive and unaccountable Village Hall? What was so great about that? You had Village Managers spending $500,000 on a single toilet, a Mayor who changed Village Code to allow for his friends at Valley to apply for an exception to the Master Plan, and a Council member contracting with the Village he was serving, in direct conflict with Village Code. The only reason I can see you complaining is that you were a member of the previous failed experiment to screw property taxpayers.
Hey Swifty #8 Annual 5~7% municipal tax increases when the state cap law was 4% ? Keep making it up. The only reason I can see you posting here is that you are a current council member or a family member or maybe even a girlfriend.. Shake it off.
Haters gonna hate …. It’s the most stupid phrase in pop culture—overused, meaningless, and hugged close by celebrities like Taylor Swift who unconvincingly claim victimhood. Drop it, and vacate the playground.
#9, your are incorrect. From 2005-2011, Village of Ridgewood annual municipal taxes increased by 4.79%, 7.73%, 6.67%, 3.66%, 4.79% and 6.84% (source: https://mods.ridgewoodnj.net/pdf/manager/2014BudgetNews.pdf ) This was well above inflation of less than 2% over that period, and was also well above the current 2% state cap on property tax increases even though that didn’t start until 2011 under Christie. Still, Public Safety wages have grown +4% annually every year since 2009 which partly explains why the Village fired 10% of its workforce in 2010 (tax increases alone weren’t enough to pay for the contractual giveaways), and has had to make other cuts to services for residents in order to pay for all the contractual wage, pension and healthcare benefit increases for Public Safety. Property owners are getting screwed.
