“To stuff so many apartments in a suburban area that’s already dense is terrible. The impact will be tremendous. I see all 3 sites (including what’s being built next to YMCA) along the tracks as I ride the train every morning. They will choke the whole look and feel of Ridgewood. Current residents who appreciated CBD will try to avoid it at any cost. What’s most concerning is who will occupy these apartments. Multi children families, section 8 recipients (if they can’t fill them up fast enough)? Will there be speculation? What other games are being considered to mess up RW?
It is so sad to see same faces who openly supported Aronsohn & Co show their happiness that things are moving along. Are they plain idiots or simply mean spirited? Their own quality of life is about to take a hit as well.”
Are people relaying their comments to the planning board and the town council to make sure these are contained and no new ones are built? Or, has the town surrendered to developers?
Cant wait till no flush friday
Remember people the more they build the more they have to supply. Meaning warner clean, waste water, for those two utilities. What about policing, EMTs, fire department, department of public works , sanitation, recycling, and I’m sure the Board of Education may need some staffing. This is going to get interesting. The great village will no longer be the village it will be a small city the congestion Will get worse you could see it already. It’s good for the store owners thank God for them because they need the business. He’ll definitely be more walking traffic. Dang you will see the police go back to Beet walking Like they did in the past which is pretty cool site I like it.
Ridgewood as we know and love it is gone. These developments should have never been approved. Too much density. The developers and their attorneys do not live here. Taxes will only go up due to the extra services needed and I do not believe that these apartments are geared to young professionals without children or retired people as they were pitched. Very short sighted decisions …
Next time you see Gwenn, her boyfriend Paul, and their menage friend Albert, you can thank them personally.
Stop with the village crap will ya?
Your “Village” died long long ago….

Most concerning because the above type of occupants typically contribute to diversification of communities?
