Perhaps the worst governor in history. Loaded up the state with debt and loaded up the payroll with employees with their benefits and eventual pensions. As soon as he “came out ” as a “gay American ” that was the signal to the media that any reports about his terrible job as a governor would be viewed as gay bashing.

So the mockery of gay men continues helping many men stay in the closet including priests, many husbands and countless others. I know Ridgewood is suburban but it’s a fairly sophisticated area so I definitely was pretty surprised to read that people are making immature comments mocking gays, stuff that really screwed me up as a kid, but then again these comments are anonymous. Most people make comments like these due to jealousy. If you’re jealous because a person dared to explore being himself even if it was sleazy get some gumption and dare to be more of yourself.

Jim McGreevey does not represent all gays including myself just as Weinstein or Epstein do not represent all straight men which I’m hoping includes most straight men. When I read these comments mocking McGreveey’s sexual orientation I felt like I was in h.s. back in the 80’s. I guess I just felt most people who a little more enlightened at this point but again these comments are anonymous so people can write anything they’d like without consequence. Allowing gay people to be out is far healthier than not, so people I recommend helping allow them by not mocking them. Lies, deceit, drug abuse, suicide, suffering will all be lessened. As a NJ guy I used to know who was of Indian descent (from India) once said to me…”are you kidding me of course I have to get married my father would kill me if I came out, but believe me I’ll have bf’s my whole life”.
