We don’t need a garage…what’s so hard to understand about that…?
Well then, let them pay for it. With higher taxes for those that use the garage, plus cost of garage, plus maintenance and added police presence. Meanwhile, I’ll stay out of CBD as parking meter rates will go up to $1.25 an hour.
VOTE NOW!
Are you in favor of increased meter rates & times throughout entire CBD to pay for parking garage?
The garage is coming. Vote smaller. Vote Susan Knudsen and Mike Sedon. There is an old saying “you can’t fight city hall”. That could not be more true…but at least with Knudsen and Sedon you can work with and get help from city hall
Not with the others!!!! They push over development and love to give out hand outs to friends….healthbarn and Janet
I want a large garage, humongous. This town is deteriorating fast anyway. Why not make it worse for those who push the garagezilla, high density housing, sanctuary cities. Let them feel the pain. More than the garage it will be high density housing that will take down Ridgewood. It is tragic how much this town lacks leadership.
A garage will increase property prices for SOME SPECIFIC Ridgewood resident’s property that in THAT SPECIFIC area, where the garage is being built. How much money are they contributing towards this garage’s downpayment.?
Face it, the parking garage is really more of a commuter lot than anything. Put it near the train station, like on the Ken Smith property. Anywhere else is a waste of money for an eyesore only the shopowners really support.

I agree that it is tragic. So many of the Ridgewood citizens believe this. Why can’t someone organize a group of people with different abilities in order to help support the council with knowledgeable, trustful information on their projects? (Not me. I’m a follower, not a leader.) This, if necessary, could be composed of mainly retired individuals who collectively have a massive amount of needed knowledge. A lot of the present council’s problems come from being unable to find a speedy, honest appraisal from anyone. I know the financial committee was a disaster, but that was because it was in no way formed to truly be financial. It was just another way for the Puppets to squeeze more from our town. Just an idea, but it is really the only way we can return some balance to Ridgewood. The present Council is composed of many intelligent people but it is faulty because they do not come from varied backgrounds. An individual who runs for Council must commit his/her life to just being “on the council”. They volunteer hours and hours to required meetings and planning for the items to be discussed. If we had a group of people who could truly help them in these decisions, it would be marvelous. Those of you who have knowledgeable ideas to offer, please consider this solution. Thanks.
Maybe we could brainwash some kids and have a “youth led” anti-garage march…
Build it already, my god We all know it’s gonna happen so just build it.
Obviously, just repaving is too difficult to do.
