The PB meeting was interesting last night. The meeting started with a discussion about the downtown assisted living/garage proposal. I think Blaise said that the project is only financially viable if they can build 60 fee high with no compromise on the number of spaces. This PB agreed with the Mayor and sent the project to council who will vote on an ordinance and then the whole thing goes back to the PB. Based upon statements made by PB members, there seems to be strong PB support for this project.
The PB then began the H-zone discussion by stating the The Record, CRR and the residents who attended the meeting misunderstood statements made at the last meeting and changes can be made to Valley’s proposal if it is consistent with the findings of experts. After that heated discussion came to a close, the PB hospital expert testified that Valley had submitted a good plan which for all intents and purposes means that the Valley proposal cannot be altered , correct?? Anyway, you can’t make this stuff up.
Ridgewood is in shambles. Misinformation, Statement made by professionals then “backed off”.
Over building of the CBD. Valley hospital. Political attacks and the blame game. Where is the leadership?
Our “leadership” is leading us down the garden path
Those of us who oppose the Hospital’s and developers’ plans to take over Ridgewood view Gail Price as the basis for a back up plan.
What a moron she is. With all the mistakes she has made over the years, no court will allow a change in the hospital zone or density ordinances to go into effect without a court challenge being heard and the matter sent back for clarification. It would be nice to have someone smart and evenhanded, someone who didn’t have a pre-set agenda, but having someone stupid is the next best thing.
The real question i have at planning board meetings is why the Chairman of the planning board lets her sit in his seat in the middle of the panel. We have planning board members pushed to the side so she can rule like the queen bee. One would think the Chairman or Mayor would not be content to sit near by and wear Gail’s dress while she decides and rules on what’s right for Ridgewood.
Perhaps we should end the Pledge of Allegience at each session with a rousing round of “All Hail Gail.”
