Ridgewoood NJ, the current Mayor and Village Council will not stop just with ramming through an irresponsible sports complex and disregarding the needs and safety of the neighbors in its proximity. Other inappropriate and harmful projects will no doubt be forthcoming. The only remedy is a recall election of this Mayor to mitigate the pending damage, unfortunately a recall is what’s necessary.
Ramping up with the recall but in the meantime please email us at recallpaul2023@gmail.com , to keep apprised. If you want to be a signature collector, please let us know that as well.
Even though he’s only been mayor for three horrible months, he’s been in office for more than a year. So he can definitely be recalled. You have to be in office for a year. I am all in for getting that man out of office.
Looking fwd to all the recall signage at vets on the 22nd. Get ready to sign before u hit the food trucks!
Get rid of this selfish, looser of a “person”. Paul is selfish and greedy. The Trump of Ridgewood. Disgusting.
Not quite.
More like the George Sorros Of Ridgewood.
More Bidenesque if we’re being honest.
He is nowhere near Trump, much closer to JB. Look at their face, the same stretched skin, no lips, clueless look.
You just describe Trump. Talk about lipless and clueless….
TDS is curable…..
This is a bunch of malarky
Okay Paul
We should do what the people did to our wonderful Gov, protest in front of his house and infant of his crappy Greek restaurant.
Field Envy….got to keep up with Glen Rock.
Such a callosal waste of time and energy. It’s also doomed to failure.
If you want to defeat the Schedler sports complex, direct your energy at Trenton.
That’s where the battle will be won or lost.
don’t worry, they have a lawyer
Paul Vagianos is clearly in the race for the worst mayor in Ridgewood‘s history award. A close tie with Paul Aronson at this point.
where did all the comments go?

This is a different track
yes but a continuation/excerpt to bring it up on the home page and those are probably the comments that the writer thought were missing.
He should not be in charge of meetings, that is for sure. He doesn’t know how and is embarrassing himself. OK, not everybody is cut out to be a leader.
But that’s the least of it.
One goal should be to humiliate him enough by a widespread call for a recall–whether it succeeds or not–to refrain from running for reelection next year (yes, next year) or for anything else ever.
I wish the signatures could be anonymous so that the people who know him best could sign without fearing that he would see their names.
Best to get rid of him much sooner, though, before he can do much more damage.
I will ask to borrow his pen to sign that petition
The village is one wild spiral, out of control . What a mess the village is in. Time to call in the state to get the help to run things.
Where are the comments?

If you read his blog when he was being sworn in he said “I look forward to laying out a vision that will unite our community and lead us to a strong future. When I moved to this town with my wife to raise our family, I did so because of how much Ridgewood has to offer. I’m all in on keeping this community a place we are all proud to call “home”. Together, we can accomplish so much.” LIE, LIE, LIE.
It is going to real interesting to see who he is going to promote through the village.
the village needs to: get the attorney general of nj to come in and manage for a year.
This is a waste of time and money.
He was elected by the voters of Ridgewood. We knew that he would move ahead with Schedler Field. The anti-field residents are very vocal but they do not outnumber the residents who voted for the Mayor.
There is nothing special about the surrounding neighborhood and they should be grateful that the land was purchased. It would have been easier to sell to a developer. The “historic” house should have been bulldozed.
Here’s a news flash per your comment about the Schedler neighborhood….many people throughout town, no where near the East side, think Paul is the WORST Mayor ever and cannot stand how ignorant he is. He has an agenda and if you are on the other side of that or do not agree with him, you are the opposition. He is the biggest phony when it comes to how he opens the meetings and states that he welcomes all comments and then limits the amount of people who can speak except for his cronies On top of that, his behavior is very unprofessional towards anyone on the council who may have an opposing view and yet states on the podcast “Ridgewood Talks” that they are “all rowing in the same direction” I call BS on that. Maybe you are not able to see that from the bubble you are in.
Everyone threatens that a developer would be worse than a field. But quite frankly I would rather several homes or town homes with families in them over the noise and traffic a field brings in. Look at the poor people who live by Habernickel and what a disaster that has become. A business in the park ! do your research The town makes no money off this sweet deal!!! The park looks like shit since that business came. Dead grass for the tents, tables and tarps they use! Idling buses, 57 operating hours. It’s a party venue. A free for all. But the big bucks for the business!!! Tragic. A few beautiful homes would trump that any day. Developers are not a threat!!!
Thank Roberta Sonenfeld for what happened to Habernickel and her cronies for continuing to renew the lease. If we are lucky enough to have a wise council the next time the lease is set to expire (although we may all expire first) they will provide legally acceptable notice that by midnight on the last day of that lease she must be OUT.
It would be wrong to assume that everyone who voted for him knew about his plans or wanted endless fields, garages, and buildings. He was hardly campaigning on those points even though that was precisely what he intended.
Most voters are completely clueless and vote for any name they recognize for any reason. It’s an important down side to democracy, which remains the best of a bad lot in ways to run a country.
The village is going down the drain, pretty fast, residents are extremely unhappy. And believe me this has to do with more than recreation fields the villages spend the money that they don’t have worried about making more fields. I can’t even maintain what they have now they lost all the experience, and yet no money put into village buildings. Every single building is full and threw their ass. Parks department, recycling, shade, tree, water, pollution, signal, village fleet, service building, street department, every building is passed repair, and they don’t have the money to build new , the police the fire get everything. Everyone else is lower than lobster dodo.
I just bought more popcorn. I keep on running out because the village show is so wonderful and exciting. Just amazing.
