Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood resident Dana Glazer pushes for election recall :
“Friends, I hope you are starting to understand that the current Mayor and Village Council will not stop just with ramming through an irresponsible sports complex and disregarding the needs and safety of the neighbors in its proximity. Other inappropriate and harmful projects will no doubt be forthcoming. The only remedy is a recall election of this Mayor to mitigate the pending damage. It gives me no pleasure to suggest this but unfortunately it is what’s necessary.”
New Jersey does not have provisions for a statewide recall election for elected officials. However, the state’s Constitution allows for the recall of local elected officials, such as mayors, city council members, and school board members.
To initiate a recall election, a petition must be filed with the local clerk or election official. The petition must include signatures from a certain percentage of registered voters in the jurisdiction, which varies depending on the office being targeted for recall.
If the required number of signatures is collected, a recall election is held, and voters are asked whether they want to remove the elected official from office. If the majority of voters vote in favor of the recall, the official is removed, and a special election is held to fill the vacancy.
It’s important to note that recall elections in New Jersey are rare, and they have only been used a handful of times in the state’s history.

The RBSA parade is Saturday, April 22nd. Food trucks, High School baseball and softball games, kids games and vendor tables setup at Vets from 10-2pm. Perfect opportunity to get the word out, setup a table and collect signatures!!

He is truly a very poor example of what a Mayor should be and the fact that he is still talking about PFAS as “well it is in everything” is just ridiculous. The fact that he is elected by the Council and not the people is also the reason that we didn’t elect him so he was chosen by the popularity of the council and many of them with the exception of Lorraine are worthless. You could probably groom Pam to be a better steward of doing the right thing. Evan and Siobhan are a waste.

Laurie hates Paul Arohnson. You need to go back and review the record on that one. And I can assure you she had NO personal interest in him whatsoever (your accusation is disgusting and makes me sick). Laurie was an ardent supporter of Susan Knudsen and were decades long good friends up until the Hooban accusation.
And I don’t think her accusation against Hooban swayed anyone’s vote. At least no one I know. Most of us hated Vagianos enough to vote for Hooban despite the accusation (choosing the lessor of two evils).

Yup. I cannot imagine anyone is avoiding CBD because of the garbage cans. If they store owners want them, let them donate them. No taxpayer dollars should be spent on decorative garbage can (that the police chief says are contraindicated for a busy downtown!).
Get rid of Paul, Siobhan, and Nancy Bigos and replace them with people who will bring fairness to the location of VOR sports instead of catering to the whims of a few residents/friends in order to get votes and/or save his/her jobs.

Just stop it. I think you have to get something like 25 percent of the population to sign a recall petition; then once that task is accomplished he has to lose the election. There isn’t even close to 25 percent of the residents who know who the mayor is, let alone that many who actually care and would vote him out of office.
I’m no fan of the Vag, and I would love to see him tossed. But let’s be realistic, that is never going to happen. The best thing you can do is boycott his restaurant, or you can attend or call into council meetings to take cheep pot shots at him. That’s probably the best approach. That guy hates attending meetings or doing anything remotely close to work in the mayor’s position. So if enough people regularly hound him for the next year-and-a-half, Vag probably won’t run for re-election.
So in 2024 Vag slithers back under the rock from which he came.
