Ridgewood Nj, as a quick reminder, per Village Code § 163-6 on Signs, temporary signs—including campaign signs—are not allowed on any public property or within public rights-of-way. This regulation also covers trees, telephone poles, and street or traffic signs.
Recently, a temporary sign was spotted at the Graydon Pool north lot last Friday afternoon. A Village employee promptly removed it, in line with code enforcement. The sign was reportedly placed by an individual driving a white SUV with lettering on both front doors.

Remember when the pro GIGANTIC PARKING GARAGE idiots had signs in every flower pot in the CBD, on every school property, and in every public park? It was insane.
An identical sign was found near The Stable on the same day. Guess someone felt they would not be removed because the mayor and deputy mayor’s names were both emblazoned on them.
I’ve lived here for over 50 years.
We never had all these ugly political signs.
Then all the liberal New Yorkers moved here, and judging by the signs for Harris and the 3some, it shows their stupidity
It would be great if that same village employee removed all the garage sale signs that stay on poles for WEEKS after the sale.
You’ve got two hands.
Vagianos: do as I say not as I do
Once upon a time Village ordinances prohibited ANY AND ALL signs from yards, including ads for painters, roofers, and other workmen working on the property as well as political ones before elections.
Why not return to that?
Unconstitutional. A violation of First Amendment rights.
political are permitted
commercial are not (painters roofer etc)
real estate for sale signs are unfortunately allow if a permit fee is paid (although the signs remain up for many months while still under contract, which should not be allowed. if its under contract, sign needs to go)
just like all the bullshit signs for deer removal etc… its advertising and illegal
We never had “For Sale” signs (or Under Contract, Open House, etc. etc.) either. It was better.
I have my yard sprayed with a benign deer repellent every month. At first they put a small sign in my front yard with the company’s name on it–one more thing for me to deal with and throw away. I asked them to stop and they did. Then it started again and I asked again and it stopped again and has remained stopped.
Sb a rule on how many mailers u can send to a single address. No less than 10 from the 3 underwhelming amigos. I don’t need any more dog poop pads
democrat operative
This is never going to stop, I can’t stand all these signs, but the police department pick them up. They have that kind of time.
The bloc of 3 campaign signs, Vagianos, Perron, Mortimer are STILL on GROVE ST – PUBLIC MUNICIPAL PROPERTY – The landscaped traffic calming island. 11/2/2024. Sat. Some on ground littering.
ALSO, ON EAST RIDGEWOOD AVE. AT the Bridge Before the Duck Pond. Public Property Both sides.
Obviously targeting incoming traffic to Ridgewood.
Vagianos Three some must be getting desperate to illegally have these signs placed on PUBLIC Property just days before election. Some Balls. Oh he’s the mayor so ignore rules?
