RIDGEWOOD — Construction should be completed by next summer on a controversial ramp for the disabled at Graydon Pool, officials said last week.
The Village Council voted 4-1 on Wednesday to award the project to C&C Masonry Inc. of Ridgefield.
Twelve bids were received late last year for the project. C&C Masonry was the lowest bidder.
The company will perform the work for $48,458, officials announced. Councilman Thomas Riche cast the lone vote against hiring C&C Masonry.
The vote came after the state Department of Environmental protection granted final approval for the ramp’s construction, ending more than two years of debate.
