Ridgewood NJ, Another bombshell revealed at a BOE meeting?

During the the Public comment from 2 parents at tonight’s BOE meeting allege that an RHS coach routinely subjected athletes to emotional and mental abuse. Complaints were filed with the BOE and no response has been received to date according to the complainants.

The Board quickly shut down the comments ,claiming they cant speak about personnel issues during open meetings.

Residents claimed the athletes who complained waited for the season to be over before they issued complaints for fear of retaliation and have thus far, been ignored. Dr. Fishbien did not look happy with the allegations going public.

  1. I was at the meeting when those TAXPAYERS made their allegations. BOE members didn’t even have the common sense or courtesy to inform the TAXPAYERS who/what office the TAXPAYERS should direct their complaints to. They just sat their on the dais looking like stunned deer. What a bunch of disrespectful idiots.

  2. Pay for extra credit and get abused by your coach. Ain’t that sweet. RHS – a tradition of nonsense.

  3. Would you actually expect Dr. Fishbein to be anything but annoyed? Now this can’t be swept under the carpet. Two strikes this year so far Dr. Fishbein. Three strike and you’re out!

  4. WTF!? At least report the facts properly. The board did not “shut down the comments”. The residents were allowed to speak and finish their questioning.

  5. Here’s the cropped video of the parent’s allegations:

  6. I watched the video…do we know what sport…football ? lacrosse…??

  7. It was very clear that the Board knew exactly what these two parents came to discuss, because they were cut off almost instantly, and had to persist in order to be able to speak their piece – which they finally were permitted to do, and they did so with professionalism in spite of the obvious trauma caused to their families. And in spite of the Board President attempting to shut them down. The board had been informed, and had not gotten back to them. Well….waiting for answers…..

  8. What sport for godsakes…?

  9. Pocket pool

  10. obvious trauma…

  11. OK what are we talking about here. What sport.

  12. Sounds like the RHS administrators and the BOE need to get their act in gear before some embarrassing information is publicized and catches them flat-footed.

  13. The BoE & Dr F do not want to open this rabbit hole. 2 cases? My guess is 200 if they investigated it properly.

  14. Sounds similar to university of Michigan and Larry Nassar

  15. I blame George W. Bush, Chris Christie and Donald Trump. Ridgewood, A Village in Turmoil.
