Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Art  Institute still stands empty, after 3 months. This beautiful building was originally a carriage house, built during the time of Lincoln’s Presidency. If those walls could speak, the amazing stories they would be able to tell. The building was gifted to RAI, by the owners of the home directly across the street. For 85 years it has been a veritable sanctuary to those committed to the pursuit of excellence in creating Art, more specifically the study of Classic Realism for both children and adults. Our banner “Art Show Today” has greeted many new visitors, who have subsequently become Members, Patrons and Family.

Classes are taught to each student in direct relation to their own skill level. Our Young People’s Classes accept pupils from 9 -18 years old. These Young Artists are an inspiration in their dedication to achieving greatness.Unfortunately, this year there will be no banner or Opening Reception. Our galleries will not be filled with the happy chatter of Young Artists sharing their accomplishments with family and friends. However, the 61st Annual Young People’s Art Exhibition WILL take place as usual while the Ridgewood Art Institute remains closed due to Covid 19. The Exhibition will be moved to the internet where all of you, can enjoy the show from the comfort and safety of your own home. The link should be available  on their website at ridgewoodartinstitute.org
