Ridgewood NJ, The Board of Education is simply reneging on an agreement they made to help fund the position of School Resource Officer (SRO). The Village has already trained three police officers to be school resource officers, so that there will never be a day when one is unavailable to work due to vacations, etc.
The Village is going to do without an officer on the street or on patrol, so that individual will have to be replaced during school hours. It does appear that the Board of Education and the Superintendent just decide that they don’t feel like paying what they agreed to pay.
Some point to the councils support for the School Budget vote , while other think the Board of Ed had it coming with their over the top support for the hate filled Harwin campaign.
The Council’s decided to hold off on sending the School Resource Officer (SRO) to the schools until the issue can be ironed out.

I have three words for Fishbein: WHAT THE FUCK?????
What year is this?
That looks like it was typed on an IBM Selectric typwriter.
A school resource officer costs $200,000 per year? That’s more than the superintendent makes. No way we should be paying that much
LOL – Maybe the Village Council will now have to appear before the BOE at the next BOE meeting!
Payback’s a B#t*h. LOL!
