Ridgewood NJ, according to a reader Ridgewood Board of Education member Cris Kaufman is reported to have posted on Facebook that all candidates should be allowed to serve on the Board since the election results were “so close,” thus increasing the Board’s size from 5 to 7.

This is in lock step with a the comment on the Ridgewood Moms and Dads group “I was disappointed that neither our Village Council or BOE had a local question for us voters. One question that has always been kicked around is if our Board of Education is too small and should we increase it to seven from five. Long standing question and I am curious about what other people think. Thoughts?”

Apparently Kaufman received his marching orders .

  1. Why is this brought up only after the election? It’s like saying I ended the game at the 18 yard line, so make 20 yard line the goal line and changed the ending score as a result.

If the results are so close – what about the governors race? Why not then have 2 governors?

Kaufman doesn’t understand how the democratic election works…

  7. Kaufman is such a total jackass. He posted that 4 of them besides Sheila got about the same number of votes. No Cris. You lost. Do you understand that? You lost. And your friend Mohammed stabbed you in the back by getting his friends to vote for him and not you. HAHAHA.

  8. Yes – we need another two candidates receiving and spending ridiculous amounts of money to win a volunteer job in a suburban town.

  9. I think a question should go something like this- “Do you think Siobahn is an idiot for helping to orchestrate the elimination of our school budget vote?”

  14. From the superindent:

“This recent incident reinforces the necessity for the types of programming and lessons that are integrated into all subjects during a student’s school career from preschool through high school graduation and further strengthens our resolve to pursue a world free of bias and hate.”

    Programming …preschool to HS!
