Time the BOE takes on the RHS college process. Begin the process by preparing students in the spring of their junior year vs mid September of senior year.
Hold 2 sessions in the spring of junior yr
– how to write ur college essay
– review the common app and walk thru in detail how to approach the activities section
Sets up rising seniors to work on their apps over the summer.
If HS students can’t figure out how to apply to college, then they don’t belong in college.
Then why have guidance counselors?
This is it, right here.
Better yet, hold the sessions for the pricey college coaches and tutors and just cut out the kids. It is really them who handle the bulk of the college process.
Better yet, just assign HS students to a college based on Equity and Woke Doctrine.
