This is absolutely outrageous. And possibly unlawful. Having a public meeting but not allowing the public into the room is just crazy.
To all of the “outraged” commenters above.
Seriously?
Now you want to attend a BOE meeting?
You can watch the meeting online and you can submit your questions/comments.
What more do you want?
I think they are doing an amazing job trying to maintain some sort of normalcy in some very abnormal times.
But please, continue putting forth your paranoid conspiracy theories — it’s very amusing!

All of the above – You are confusing the issues, the fact that you think the budget is too high has nothing to do with the PANDEMIC, which has caused THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT and nearly every other nation on the PLANET to change how life is lived in order that we may continue to LIVE.
You weren’t happy with the budget last year, you weren’t happy with the budget last month, you are still not happy with the budget………. this ONE meeting isn’t going to change the fact that you aren’t happy with the budget. (and it’s not going to change the budget either)
Unless of course you’d like to blame the Chinese for conspiring to keep you from attending a BOE meeting in Ridgewood. LOL, you guys amuse me!
amamom
Back in the USSR
Guess all this insane overspending
And mismanagement is acceptable
To you ?
Could not go to the meeting. But I will be voting NO on this budget in May
The meeting needs to be delayed. Push it back a few weeks. Go from there.
Public meeting means the public may attend. Period.
