Ridgewood NJ,  Ridgewood Crew is excited to invite the community to its Annual Rowathon, set to take place at Van Neste Square on Saturday, March 16th, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This event promises a day of fun, fitness, and fundraising, as attendees will have the unique opportunity to learn more about the sport of rowing, sign up for the “Learn to Row” program, and support the funding for new equipment.

The Rowathon is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a celebration of the strength and spirit of the Ridgewood community. Attendees can cheer on local police, firefighters, and EMS as they compete for gold in friendly races, showcasing the camaraderie and resilience of those who serve our community.

In addition to the exciting races, the event will feature merchandise and baked goods for sale, with all proceeds going towards supporting Ridgewood Crew. For those feeling hungry, WorldFLATS will generously donate 20% of their proceeds on March 16th to the team. Mention Ridgewood Crew in store or use code RWCREW online to contribute to this cause.

The Rowathon also serves as an excellent opportunity for young enthusiasts, from 6th to 11th graders in Ridgewood, to sign up for our “Learn to Row” program. This initiative is designed to introduce the fundamentals of rowing, emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness, providing a strong foundation for those interested in pursuing rowing.

“We are thrilled to host the Annual Rowathon and share the joy and benefits of rowing with our community,” said Ridgewood Crew head coach, Boris Roque-Alvarez. “It’s a fantastic way to engage with our neighbors, raise the necessary funds for our team, and inspire the next generation of rowers. We encourage everyone to join us for what promises to be a memorable day.”
