Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Emergency Services has been on the front lines of the Covid-19 pandemic. Volunteers work every day to save lives while risking their own to do so. Not knowing what their day will be like, especially during this pandemic, our EMT’S serve the Village for long hours to keep everyone safe and healthy. “These volunteers are sacrificing and taking risks every day, now more than ever,” said Public Information Officer Bob Krane.
“Not knowing what the next emergency call will bring increases the stress of an already stressful situation, added PIO Krane.
Your dedicated emergency volunteers would like to thank the friends and residents of the Village for their ongoing support. Villagers have been reaching out to the volunteers to thank them for being their true heroes. Working every day to save lives while risking their own to do so.
Villagers have been asking how they can have the opportunity to provide a meal for those who are on the front lines of this fight. “You would never think that a meal could be such a stress reliever “, said PIO Krane. “The unity shown throughout the Village during difficult times is always a reminder of how much of a difference individual can make when we all work as a team.”
If you would like to provide a meal for the on-duty crew that is on the front lines of this fight, contact Emergency Services by email EMSPIO2@gmail.com., You will also be supporting our Village restaurants in these difficult times.
“Your act of kindness will go very far. By providing a meal to the on-duty crew, they will be able to focus on their task at hand and not worry when they will be able to get a dinner break. We thank everyone for this terrific partnership” concluded PIO Bob Krane.
Yes they have been, they need to be very careful.
Talk about being on the front lines. What about Our sanitation and recycling workers hanging on a Sanitation truck. They’re touching everyone’s dirty merchandise from our houses. We hope that the trucks are being Properly Sanitized for them. Concern resident.
The virus is not spread by any degree of dirtyness. I’m not saying that the guys picking up the garbage is risk-free, but any of us touching anything has the same degree of risk. Sanitizing trucks before and after the shift would be useless. Come on. Pay attention to the news.
Thank you for your time and service 😜❤️
Yes, let’s thanks these folks for sticking in there as we really need it!!
Hopefully they are able to take measures to protect themselves.
