Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, at approximately 1223hrs on Thurday June 24th, the Ho-Ho-Kus Fire Department was alerted to a reported fire in the area of 1 Hollywood Avenue.
Initial reports from Police units confirmed a working fire on the exterior of building 6 at Dale Brook Industrial Park.
Due to these reports, as well as the occupancy type, mutual aid was quickly requested bringing a Ridgewood engine, Waldwick engine and Wyckoff tower ladder to the scene.
Upon arrival, Engine 733 forced entry into the structure to check for signs of smoke and fire. Members placed a 2 1/2” hose line in service, quickly extinguishing the fire. Truck 7 placed their aerial ladder in service and Engine 731 and mutual aid members assisted with overhaul of the immediate area to check for fire extension.
Due to the quick action of first arriving units the fire was contained to the exterior of the building resulting in minimal damage.
The Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Fire Department takes pride in protecting life and property in the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus through countless hours of training and aggressive firefighting tactics.

I seems that the code officials are tolerating many more offenses in regards to outdoor garbage that some companies and home store .
It may not be the cause of this incident but it is very unsightly and serves as an opportunity for an unintended occurrence.
