Ridgewood NJ, before Ridgewood Fire B Platoon completed their shift Thursday morning, Ridgewood firefighters were dispatched to a working dumpster fire in Engine 31โs West Side district. The fire was reported in a 30-yard construction dumpster, prompting a quick response from both Engine 31 and Rescue 42.
๐ฅ Quick Response Prevents Further Damage
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered active flames consuming construction materials inside the dumpster. The team acted quickly to extinguish the fire and prevent any spread to nearby structures.
Crews also performed a thorough overhaul to ensure the blaze was fully out and there was no hidden extension. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and the fire did not spread to nearby homes.
