RIDGEWOOD — The state has signed off on the village’s controversial plan to build a ramp along Graydon Pool for the disabled.
Mayor Paul Aronsohn said a letter arrived Friday from the state’s Department of Environmental Protection giving the village “the green light with respect to our plans to construct an accessible ramp in Graydon.”
Ridgewood’s council plans to officially award the contract for the project Wednesday “to the business that came in with the best bid last winter,” which Aronsohn called “very good news.”
Officials want work to begin immediately so that the 40-foot ramp will be finished by next summer.
Complete waste of money and time.
The total length is much more than 40 feet if the scale on the drawings is accurate.
It covers a lot of the sand.
People will be very upset.
Geez so Aronsohn can get another article about him on the paper now.
What a loser.
This is one of those stupid projects that they’ll spend 70-100k on “to do the right thing” instead of using common sense and using cheaper, non-permanent alternatives like the mobi-chair.
He sure loves spending other peoples’ money.
Thed.
You voted for him.
Nope, abstained.
