Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Historical Society celebrated it’s 150th Anniversary of the Schoolhouse Museum with a Gala at Felina Restaurant in Ridgewood on Thursday, May 18th. The fundraising event featured dinner, a wine bar, live music by Souled Out, and some fabulous auction items.
Former Mayor and current CEO of the Ridgewood YMCA Ramon M. Hache Sr. joined the celebration at the Schoolhouse Museum. Congratulated the honorees: Joy Hamburger, Victoria Herbert and Dacey Latham and offered a special thanks to Jeanne Johnson, Gail Ghezzi and our auctioneer Rosie McCooe.
Jeanne Johnson said is a Facebook comment, “It was a great night! A wonderful show of support for an important Ridgewood institution. Thanks to all who showed up in a big way for The Ridgewood Historical Society & Schoolhouse Museum.”
Tony Damiano of the Ridgewood Guild called the event , “Ridgewood at its best!”

Where do they stand on Schedler? :/
Pretty evident that preserving the Schedler property and not leveling it is shared by those whose support Ridgewood Historical Society. I was hoping someone would speak up about how the Schedler property is the sister property to the school house (along with Paramus Reform Church) and only separated by Rt 17 and really make our current mayor squirm (he was actually there).
AND the Zabriskie-Schedler house is 200 years old this year!!! Built in 1823. The RW Historical Society should acknowledge and support that another piece of history is being preserved in RW.
