Ridgewood NJ, yesterday in Ridgewood at the official groundbreaking ceremony of the Hudson Street Parking garage . the event was greeted with a protester .

Which begs the questions where are all the critics of residents Steven Kim and Saurabh Dani , all the “if you don’t like it move” and how dare you question the great and powerful Ridgewood Public Library or Ridgewood Board of Education ?

Where are the big mouths? Where are the know-it-alls? And lets not forget all the “you should pay higher taxes, so I can move out of here” types?

Once again emphasizing the , it is OK to bully certain people for certain ideas but not others .

And of course if you in the in crowd , you have carte blanche even if you come off as an ignorant bigot?

  1. Sour grapes because an effort by his wife’s organization to sell property to the Village was squashed when Knudsen was Mayor. This guy is a loose cannon supreme.

  2. Hey Anonymous – which property?

  3. This clearly shows that Jan, Hans, and Jeff have personal issues with one council member. Whenever the personal issues start affecting policy matters, that’s not good in public interest.

  4. Who is the guy with the sign?

Anyone who writes “of coarse” and “card blanch” might hesitate before calling others ignorant.

  5. All atlest he is consistent

  6. 3 amigos hard at work

  7. Ridgewood – “A village in turmoil”

  8. The property that was allegedly proposed for sale to the Village is located on Highwood Avenue and is owned by the Religious Society of Friends.

  9. Hans Lehman is the third or fifth husband of Jan Philips. They are two of the nastiest people in town. Hans was behind the glossy postcard that supported Harwin and accused Susan of being a Nazi. Hans is worse than trash. Lower than pond scum.

  10. What a bunch of screw balls.

  11. Susan was not accused of being a Nazi. Even he did not go that far. The claim was that she contributed posts to a blog (this one) that had run an article that mentioned that somebody was saying that somebody was acting like a Nazi…or something. It was libelous, offensive, and idiotic, but it stopped just short of that particularly outrageous accusation.

    1. he also bashed the OLMC and its members

  12. What a dumbass. The opposition to the previous garage was its size.

  13. Yes, he is the one who implied the religious leader of OLMC paid a bribe to a council member.

    What a disgusting fellow.

  14. Hans fails to mention in his signs and rhetoric that the 2016 Garage did not fit the footprint, encroached on Hudson Street , was taller than the cross at Mt. Carmel, posed fire issues as trucks would not be able to come down Hudson, loss of parking on the streets bordering the garage etc, etc.. If the Council under Aronsohn hadn’t been so dismissive of public concerns we might have found a better solution to our parking issues. But the train had left the proverbial station and we are getting the smaller version. Most of the concerns now are how we are going to fund it which includes all sorts of parking machinations which I worry will affect businesses.

  15. Sadly, i missed this great event.
Besides Mutton face in the sunglasses pictured above, did anyone go?
