Ridgewood NJ, resident Frank DelVecchio shared the following information:

“It is a few days out from 9/11 and it is time for my annual 9/11 Remembrance Run from Ridgewood to the WTC. I will be running 13 miles and biking 13 miles. Every year people contribute to the Run for Hope Foundation (www.runforhopefoundation.org) and we go on to support great causes. In the last 7 years the foundation has raised and contributed well over a $100k to various causes and organizations. We are a 501c3, so any donation is tax deductible. Please consider donating today, we are falling far short of where we usually are. You can watch the run/bike on the day of event as I will be streaming parts of it on FB live (same as last year). Donate by going to site, not using donate link on FB page. Thanks for your past support and may God bless.”

  1. I don’t need to give you my money, to donate to a worthy cause. I’ve been giving for over 60 years without you. May I suspect your motives? Where were you on 9/11. Were you helping people , were you a first responder at the World Trade Center?

Ride your bike and run and walk, who in the hell cares.

Did you become a firefighter or join the police force since 9/11. Did you join the armed forces or the national guard.

Drink you latte , ride your bike ; You YOU are a phony.

You are capitalizing on our nation’s tragedy. For shame. Don’t forget to wear your tight pants while you ride and run, honey.

  2. Wow . Take it easy.

  3. Take it easy and be well-informed before you start bashing people who are trying to help others. Frank D was actually part of the first responders from NJ. Where were you?? He’s still suffering from the side effects. How is putting one’s life at risk and then raising money for other people in need considered capitalizing? Not to mention he ran over 100 miles (more than 20 hours nonstop) to raise money for victims of Hurricane Sandy. And yes, he was a police officer. Get off your ass and do something more productive than criticizing others.

  4. “we go on to support great causes.”
    .
    What causes and what amounts?
