Ridgewood Man Charged with Possession of Child Porn

Ridgewood NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ANTONIO GINES, 43, of Ridgewood, NJ, on the charge of possession of child sexual abuse material. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck.

On Friday, January 31, 2025, the Ridgewood Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit regarding alleged images of child sexual abuse material. An investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Ridgewood Police Department revealed that ANTONIO GINES possessed over 200,000 depictions of nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children on one or more electronic devices.

As a result of the investigation, on Thursday, February 13, 2025, ANTONIO GINES was charged with first-degree possession of child pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(b)5(b)(i). GINES was served at the Bergen County Jail on Friday, February 14, 2025, while already in custody. GINES remains held pending further action by the Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella thanks the Ridgewood Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
