Ridgewood NJ, in a recent email disseminated by the Village Manager Keith Kazmark, Kazmark claimed that at both the June 5th and August 7th Village Council meeting Matrix New World engineering presented the results of the soil tests at the Schedler Property on West Saddle River Road on the “berm” and then the rest of the property . The tests revealed enough evidence to warrant further testing of the property and if needed the property would have to be remediated.
While making it clear the “berm” was a project initiated by the prior administration ,Kazmark omitted that the very same current Village Engineering department orchestrated the “berm”project and is responsible for its outcome.

Previous administration is a lame duck excuse to deflect blame. The VOR is responsible. PERIOD.
Communications Dept. should have issued that statement a week ago. But hey, I guess movies in the park and feeding wildlife take priority over hazardous substances and public health.
Keith Kazmark, actions speak louder than words. If the VOR takes the health and safety of residents seriously, fire the Village Engineer.

let us not forget, Vagianos was a councilperson pushing for Schedler BEFORE he became Mayor. He was part of the previous council and their decisions. He knew about all of the soil being dumped and was not going to have the soil tested at all and was going to submit to SHPO and have the field built. He accused Schedler neighbors of lying or being dramatic and if NJDEP has not stepped in with a mandate, he would be well on his way to do things his way. This is why he should not be mayor.

Unfortunately there is little to no truth coming out of this Mayor and majority council’s mouths. They just keep spinning their web. Keith Kazmark is no alter boy either and has been caught in numerous lies. He is a slick one, maybe his time being a Mayor taught him a thing or two. He stated that Ridgewood did not ask the the water award. So the NJDEP and his friend the Commissioner just picked Ridgewood out of a hat? 100% a political stunt to make Vagianos look good for his upcoming reelection. Please vote NO to Vagianos and Mortimer. They are not going to do the right thing for Ridgewood.

Unfortunately the trust has been broken with the residents of Ridgewood and will likely never be repaired with this Mayor and council and Mr. Kazmark is marching to the music. This crew wants to build their field and were not even going to test the soil. Now they really care so much about everything.
Has Winograd already made a deal on the turf? She seems extra ordinarily pushy about this topic, is it just me because she seems to not be loosening her grip. Did she already make a deal or make promises? It has PFAS those bad chemicals that are in our water and that can get into the water near Schedler. Isn’t that toxic like the soil? I don’t understand why Ridgewood would spend millions of dollars to take this really bad stuff out of Ridgewood water as it will harm individuals who may be drinking it and get an award for being such great people where she has her photo taken proudly standing behind this. and yet continue to lobby for something that is really, really bad and I just am trying to figure out why this person seems very uneducated and does not use science or facts.
Keith Kazmark is the new cover up guy. He is the cleaner upper of misttakes that Vagianos is making and I wonder how much longer he can go on before he blows the whistle on Vagianos. Yes, hemakes a great salary, paid for by tax dollars. Something like $300,000 per year. Not bad, but I have a feeling this can’t go on for ever and Kazmark probably has political apsirations and he is already going to be tied to all of the bad decisions.
For over a $300,000 annual salary, he would probably lick the stamps for Vagianos mailings to state officials saying that “PFAS is everywhere” and all of the other S he is sending out.

Hey, listen up, let all these fools just talk. By next week, the proof will be in the pudding, meaning photos will get to the proper location and then they can broadcast them. Remember the photos I have once the d e p sees them first they are going to spit up blood. and then the shits really going to hit the fan. Every state agency regarding pollution will have to act, especially when a few individuals have been affected by this contamination. And the village failed to reach out so now the sleeping giant has a weaken just remember there’s a few that nowhere, the skeletons are and who put them there.
