Ridgewood’s own Ali Stroker, 26, premiered her one-woman production at Bergen Community College’s Ciccone Theatre on Oct. 1.
It was the debut of Stroker’s show, titled “Finding Glee,” which focuses on her journey on the reality show, “The Glee Project” and subsequent guest appearances on “Glee.”
A venerable stage star, Stroker was paralyzed at a young age when she was involved in a car accident with her mother and older brother Jake. She suffered a spinal cord injury and has been in a wheelchair ever since.
With her performances on the stage and small screen, Stoker said she hopes to send a positive message to others with disabilities, and, really, to anyone who might need help overcoming life’s obstacles.
