  1. Why was the man turned over to Saddle River police? He still should be locked up in Ridgewood.

  2. No PTI. If he assaulted the officer serving a warrant for a prior crime…NO plea bargain. Toss the book at him.

  3. What were the police officer’s injuries? Embarrassment that the individual did not immediately cooperate?

Did they know the history of the person that they were arresting? They could have told him/his parents to come to the police station with a lawyer, turn himself in. Cuffing a guy must be more fun. Unnecessary roughness.

  4. Calling his parents? Are you joking? He is 20 years old — which means he is an adult. Pathetic attempt to blame the police and defend the criminal.

  5. I hope he was black and blue when they turned him over to the saddle river cops. # 3 your a fool.

  6. Agree with #5 that #3 is a fool.

  7. Apparently #3 is an ‘armchair quarterback’. Were you there? How do you know what the original warrant was issued for? I’d guess that it wasn’t for an overdue parking ticket if 3 officers took the call together. Since he had a warrant for his arrest, chances are he has done a few misdeeds in the past and the officers were properly prepared for this outcome.

  8. I’ve known Kyle Finch my whole life. He is a good and honest police officer who is dedicated to this town. #3 you are way out of line making accusations like that without any support. Unnecssary roughness? What is this a football game to you?

  9. #7. When you get down to it – none of were there. We are all armchair quarterbacks. Some assume that the police are always right. Three officers went on the call? Must have been a warrant for a serial killer.

  10. #9 the problem is when people assume the worst about police (not when they give them the benefit of the doubt until proven wrong). Also, 3 officers is not out of line. Police have the right to make sure that they are not entering into a dangerous situation. For example, when a police officer responds to a call from a homeowner who just arrived home to find his front door open, the first police officer who arrives does not go into the house alone. He is required to wait for back-up. So stop acting like it is outrageous for 3 officers to show up. They have no idea what they might face when they confront someone with a warrant out against them (they have no idea if the person will be violent, they have no idea if the person will have others with him/her that are violent).

  11. Fake cowardly liberal outrage.

Always conviently expressed when they live in a safe town protected by honorable police and their is no consequence to comitting their libel.
