Ridgewood NJ, After 30 years of serving the Village Of Ridgewood police officer Robert Hirsch handles his last assignment, escorting the Christmas tree from Dorchester Avenue to North Broad Street where it will be lit this Friday during the annual downtown for the holidays celebration. Officer Hirsch joined the Ridgewood Police Department in 1985 prior to that he worked for New Jersey Transit as a police officer. We wish Bobby the best in his retirement.

  1. Saw the tree guys trimming this monster tree on Saturday….

  2. Robert was always a friendly guy. If you didn’t know, it took Mr. Yoeman from Downes tree service and his crew almost 2 full days before the tree was moved to trim the tree and each branch has to be carefully tied up for transport. Thanks for all the hard work.
