Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Public Library kicks off the summer reading season :

Summer Reading Club (SRC) Kickoff Event:
Saving Earth Together (PreK-Gr. 5, with adult)

Our friends from Talewise work with two unlikely heroes to save our planet from a super-polluting mastermind! Volunteers help conduct science experiments that bring the story to life.  Registration required. Register here >>

 
Adult Summer Reading Club
It’s summer reading time! Every book, eBook, audiobook and magazine you read gets you a ticket. Put ticket into raffle for more than 20 prizes, all generously donated by local Ridgewood businesses. Jars located by Circulation desk.
Plus, in celebration of 100 years of library service, we have a list of 100 things to do at the library, and each gets you another ticket.

Juneteenth: Daughters of the Dust (1991; NR; 1h 52m; US)
Monday, June 19, 7-9 pm
In English and Gullah, with subtitles.
The story of 3 generations of Gullah women, as they prepare to migrate off their southern island and move north. Daughters of the Dust was selected for the US National Film Registry for its cultural, historical and aesthetic significance. Restored and re-released for its 25th anniversary in 2016.
