Ridgewood School District to Follow State Guidance on COVID Policy

Ridgewood NJ, according to Superintendent of Schools Dr. Thomas A. Gorman, Ed.D. the number of COVID cases in the district is very low, and the activity level for northern New Jersey is at the moderate level (Yellow).

The District is currently awaiting specific guidance from the State following Governor Murphy’s announcement that the school mask mandate will end, effective March 7, 2022. The Ridgewood Public Schools will pivot to a mask-optional policy with all other health and safety protocols remaining in place.

The District follows the guidance provided by the Governor’s Office, New Jersey Department of Health, New Jersey Department of Education, Village of Ridgewood Health Department, and will continue to do so.
