RIDGEWOOD — The Planning Board tabled discussion on a possible master plan amendment permitting multifamily housing downtown until next month, when residents will get their first chance to weigh in on the proposal.

Talks will resume at the board’s meeting on Nov. 3, when the village’s planner, Blais Brancheau, is expected to present his own analysis on the potential master plan changes.

The proposed amendment is being sought by three developers, who want to build multifamily housing complexes in Ridgewood.

Brancheau will likely face questions from the public after giving his report next month, and almost certainly will face cross-examination by attorneys for the developers, who all have active applications pending before the board.

  1. And the conversations continue, continue and continue …

No one listens to any no one.

  2. That includes you Dom.

  3. When we make changes for high density housing Valley will have their in.

It seems like change is coming no matter how many meetings we have.

Doubled Valley, high density housing and lots of parking for the stores. My plan is to move in the next three years.

  4. I like to know how come BIG AL THE DEVELOPERS FRIEND has been so low profile lately ? What he sneaking through under our noses?

  5. I think all Planning Board proposals should be tabled pending resolution of the latest Valley Hospital litigation – and that includes school and public library renovations. Can’t be business as usual as long as Valley continues eating up resources. Let everyone feel the pinch.

  6. The Library and the 3 amigos are perfect together.

  7. Library should be left as is. This isn’t the ’80s. Money is needed elsewhere and lib. is fine.
