Ridgewood NJ, RIDGEWOOD VILLAGE, Bergen County, NJ, is seeking a full-time Management Assistant for the water utility. The responsibilities of the position include: 1) assists management by providing a variety of customer service-focused administrative functions for the utility; 2) gathers, organizes and summarizes data or information for report preparation and analysis; 3) communicates throughout the day with utility customers across various mediums, including but not limited to the frequent answering of customer service phone calls, responding to emails, updating the utility’s website, and corresponding with customers via utility messaging platforms; 4) investigates problems and/or complaints and recommends solutions to management team; 5) reads, researches and routs correspondence, drafts letters, memos and other documents for the utility; 6) utilizes various software tools and databases for the maintenance of utility records and consumer correspondence; and 7) helps relieve the manager of administrative detail related to the utility. The candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. The candidate must have the ability to learn and utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the utility. Experience in the water utility industry a plus. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
