Ridgewood NJ, 6/5/2023 email to Ridgewood Water customers:
“Ridgewood Water personnel will be patrolling the neighborhoods to identify and cite Water Restriction Violators. ”
“This is a reminder for Ridgewood Water customers that Stage II mandatory irrigation restrictions are still in effect. Due to limited rainfall and a warmer than usual month of May, the system demand has increased and water storage tank levels are decreasing daily. Tank reserves are required to be maintained for health and safety including adequate pressure and flow for Fire Suppression Services.
In an effort to prevent increased water restrictions, please follow the Stage II Water Restrictions. No residential irrigation is allowed on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, except for the use of a handheld hose, drip irrigation or residents that have been issued an exemption by Ridgewood Water.
If you have an odd-numbered address, you may irrigate on Tuesday and Saturday. If you have an even-numbered address, you may irrigate on Wednesday and Sunday. Mondays and Fridays are irrigation days for governmental properties.
To avoid evaporation, no watering shall be performed between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm and all automatic systems, including those with smart controllers, should be set to operate between the hours of 3am to 7am. Kindly check sprinklers to ensure only plantings and lawns are being watered and not sidewalks, roads, or other impervious surfaces.

Ridgewood Water personnel will be patrolling the neighborhoods to identify and cite Water Restriction Violators. We ask for the cooperation of all Ridgewood Water customers in adhering to the Stage II Water Restrictions. In working together, we can all be a part of ensuring that the health and safety of our communities are protected. When you conserve water, we can meet your water demands by relying on the wells that have the lowest PFAS levels (click for more information[JF1] ) while also ensuring that there is adequate pressure in the system for effective Fire Suppression Services.
Warm Regards,
Mike”

I’d like to see a list of violators posted.
On monday I noticed a few watering, with no concerns.
Its not fair to those of us who play by the rules to see our neighbors with lush lawns who ignore them
Gestapo
Rules are to be complied with.
If you don’t like it, move back to NYC d-bag
spoken like a true Fascist.
Keep voting these people into office… eventually they will be coming for you and there will be nobody left to defend you.
Like the council plays by the rules.
Lawns cost $$$ to maintain and need water. It could rain for 40 days and 40 nights and we would still be in water restrictions. Its all BS
Actually, grasses easily recover from draught conditions. They go brown but don’t “die” from lack of water. Water them again and they turn green. Easy, breezy, grassy peezy.
Water restrictions in Ridgewood are due to our lack of storage capacity and the ability to access sufficient water during times of peak demands and emergencies. It is NOT available water; we have plenty of water. Blame the west side residents for not wanting a higher water tower which would have addressed storage capacity.
So tired of you idiot newbies spouting off without any knowledge or context.
Yes. Post the names and addresses of those who received summonses.
Water Na zis

Welcome to the Liberal Fascist Utopia.
Town doesn’t give a shit. They want to make money on this. Some people with smart controllers water EVERY DAY Early morning between 3..M. TO 7.A.M. AND Some in addition, even have the nerve to still override it in the evening whenever they feel like it. They feel entitled. They’re paying. Even if you report them, town does NOTHING!
If they can water anytime they want to, so can Everybody else.
