RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The Ridgewood Police Department is proud to welcome three newly graduated officers from the prestigious Bergen County Police Academy Class 134.

Ridgewood Police Chief Forest Lyons, Captain Michael Ender, and Sergeant Michael McKeon attended the graduation ceremony to support Ridgewood’s newest officers: Edward Moodie, Felice Bonanno, and Paul Doyle.

The trio will soon begin the department’s field training program, gaining practical, on-the-job experience alongside seasoned Ridgewood officers. A formal public swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for a Ridgewood Village Council meeting later this summer.

🏅 Bergen County Police Academy: A Premier Training Ground

Located in Mahwah, NJ, and nestled in the scenic Ramapo Mountains, the Bergen County Police Academy is a division of the Law & Public Safety Institute (LPSI) at 281 Campgaw Road. The facility is nationally recognized for its rigorous training standards and cutting-edge infrastructure.

Under the leadership of Director Richard Blohm and Police Academy Director Kenneth R. Ehrenberg, ESQ., the academy provides a transformative experience that turns civilians into well-trained, ethical law enforcement professionals.

  • The Life Safety Complex for multi-discipline simulations
