I’ll take my chances with the sharks and jellyfish. Enjoy your brain eating amoeba.
I love Graydon and have been having a wonderful time there this summer, as usual. Plenty of space to do your own thing, the families with little kids by the kiddie area, the sun worshippers spread out by the deep end, people reading in the shade, the snack bar. The water is great, and the grounds are immaculate.
Why be nasty?
8:54 is just another complainer. He/She just posted a lie in an attempt to spread unhappiness to all.
Enjoy the traffic.
My first year in Ridgewood. I have not bought passes for the family as I felt I wouldn’t use it much. However with the weather heating up and with the very appealing look from the outside I decided to take a closer look last Sunday in the morning when there were just a couple of people there. My impression is that it is immaculate, grounds are great, plenty of space and right at home. BUT I am a big water fan and a swimmer, I have swam in many, many places but I can’t remember the last time I went into the water and couldn’t see my feet in 2 feet deep water. The deeper end looks scary as you have no idea what lies beneath. I would assume that later in the day when it fills up the water becomes murkier. It may be a nice place to hang around for a couple of hours but it is still not a pool that you can enjoy the water. Add to this the chlorine and the geese and it gets less appealing. I don’t think I will use it.
so you have never swam in the ocean, a lake ???
The chlorine is now a problem?
Residents confuse lake water with dirty water. I swim at the shore and at a lake in PA. The water is not clear but I still go. Swimming is risky in every situation. I am willing to swim.
Driving is risky too but I still head out to Route 17. Lets go on with our lives.
Guessing 12:43 is a troll trying to be creative. Could those people please just clam up, to use a seashore cliche?
1243 The water is tested daily. It is more sanitary than a lake and less chemically than a concrete pool. The water is not stagnant – it runs through all the time. Do you ever swim in a lake? Can’t see your feet in the bottom of a natural lake, and the microscopic bugs are plentiful. In the ocean? The ocean is teeming with pathogenic microbes, some of which can aggressively kill you if they get into an open wound. Take a deep breath and relax. Graydon water is delightful and you are missing out on tons of fun if you just sit on the perimeter paralyzed with baseless fear.
This swimming hole is a fantastic spot for a little late night skinny-dipping extravaganza! Be sure to bring plenty of moonshine and cheezits though! Nothing better than getting liquored up and doing naked cannonballs off the high dive! Enjoy!
lol !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
