Ridgewood NJ, Graydon Pool Memberships decreased in price for residents only from August 1st through Labor Day. Residents may purchase a late season adult membership for $75 and a late season child membership for $70.  Senior rates remain at $35.00 and non-resident rates remain at $325 for ages 16+ and $210 for a child.

Ridgewood NJ, there is still time to join Graydon Pool – Please go to the badge office at the pool to do so – Graydon Pool is open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., 7 days per week, through September 4th (Labor Day). Activities include: swimming lessons, story time on the beach, learn to be a mermaid swim class, story time with a mermaid, standup paddleboard classes, and standup paddleboard yoga workshops.  Amenities include spray fountains, charcoal grills with picnic tables, shade systems, Adirondack chairs, fenced-in kiddie pool area, and the Water’s Edge Café concession.

Ridgewood NJ, on Wednesday 6/21/2023: “B” Shift members of Ridgewood Fire Department’s dive team conducting our annual summertime dive drills at Graydon Pool. These drills allow our dive team to remain comfortable with the procedures and equipment in case our services are ever needed in any body of water within the Village. Non-divers also drill on guiding the divers underwater via line tendering, assisting with and maintaining equipment, and using the Aquaeye, our underwater sonar radar. Drills are conducted annually in coordination with Graydon Pool staff and lifeguards.

Ridgewood NJ, Graydon Pool will be open through Labor Day.  The hours are: Monday through Friday/10:00 am- 6:00 pm, the deep end, the kiddie pool area, the shallow area, and the diving board areas may be open. From 6:00 pm.-7:00 pm, Adult Lap Swim Only. Saturday and Sunday, the hours are from 10:00 am-6:00 pm, with various areas of the pool open, depending on staffing. Please note that any stand may be closed due to weather, maintenance, staffing or any event that may put the public’s safety at risk.

Sea Isle City NJ, On Saturday, August 3, Detective Sergeant First Class George Wren was vacationing with his family in Sea Isle City, N.J. when he rescued a swimmer who was caught in a riptide and being pulled into the ocean.

Moments after explaining the dangers of the rip current to his children, a woman frantically approached DSFC Wren and screamed that a man was drowning. He observed the man about 75 yards from the shoreline drifting further into the ocean.
