Dear CBR friends and supporters,
The Ridgewood News editorial today highlights in the importance of the September 16 Village Council meeting for the future of our village, and asks the Mayor and Council, “What’s the Hurry?” (see link below)
The Ridgewood News approached CBR to make a statement about how the Village Council intends to rush the vote to approve ordinances that would allow high density housing, and asked our opinion on holding the public hearing on a night that conflicts with many Back-to-School nights. (see our statement to the Ridgewood News below)
We have asked the Mayor and Council to reschedule the meeting. We urge YOU to also email the Mayor and Council and ask them to either reschedule the public hearing, or to schedule additional opportunities for public comment in the future on this very important matter. The email addresses are below. Also, please continue to reach out to friends and neighbors and encourage everyone to attend this vital meeting on Wednesday, September 16.
Thank you for your support.
Citizens for a Better Ridgewood
Newsflash CBR: it’s over…no more posturing, no more “what’s the rush”.
Your NIMBY attitude is stalling progress in this town and now it’s over.
Those who see measured and vibrant growth have been patient with the CBR’s nonsense and now it’s time to move forward. oh yea, “back to school night”? Really? You want to stall again girl back to school night???!
some political careers are also over I suspect
Depends on how one defines “progress.” For many thousands of residents, this is not it.
Most of us are very happy here and chose this town as it is. if you are not happy why not progress yourself someplace
Else?
5:31 – Newsflash this is not a NIMBY situation. None of us even live in the CBD so it is definitely not our back yards. Some politicians stand to gain big-time from this development and this will be revealed. You wait and see. Handcuffs will be fitted for a couple of key individuals who are soon to be out of power.
Great editorial by the Ridgewood News; right on the money. And I suspect the “hurry” might be to get this passed before questions about: 1) Mr. Pucciarelli’s past business relationship with the Cancelmo family, 2) possible conflicts because Mr. Aronsohn’s wife is employed by a property owner in one of the affected zones, and 3) rumors of a personal relationship between Ms. Hauck and the Cancelmo family all come to the forefront.
Let’s go to court NOW.
