Saddle River Loses Longtime Member of the Fire Department

Saddle River NJ, Saddle River Fire Department announces the untimely passing of Firefighter and Vice President Mark Murray. Mark was a life member and currently held the position of Vice President of the fire association. Mark was called the “cornerstone ” on the department .

“It is with deep sadness the Saddle River Fire Department announce the untimely passing of Firefighter and Vice President Mark Murray. Mark was a life member and currently held the position of Vice President of the fire association. Mark loved the SRFD, he was still active and was always willing to help out. Please keep Mark and the Murray family in your thoughts and prayers. Details regarding funeral arrangements will be posted when available. May Mark forever Rest In Peace.”

“MARK MURRAY

One of our beloved firemen and a lifelong resident of Saddle River passed away last night.
Mark Murray, son of John & Barbara Murray was 61 years old, and he was battling cancer.
Mark was a LIFE MEMBER of the SRFD and held the position of Vice President of the Fire Association. He also proudly served in the Coast Guard.
Mark’s loss is a huge loss for our Fire Department and the Borough of Saddle River.
We send our deepest condolences to the family and SRFD in this time of grief and sorrow.
Mayor Kurpis has ordered our flags to be flown at half-mast on all our public buildings.
