Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Volunteer Fire Department is ready for the Christmas Holidays . Greetings from Wallington Holiday Parade!
Santa Claus is coming to Glen Rock. December 22,4-10pm. The GRFD will be escorting Santa around Glen Rock and will be visiting every street. As in previous years we will have magical GPS trackers that will track Santa as he tours our town. Make sure you follow the GRFD Facebook Page.
Santa Santa Claus Comes To Town 2018 Top 10 FAQ/Tips:
1. When does Santa Start his tour? While the event says 4PM it is really when it gets dark enough outside. He will also tour town regardless of the weather.
2. What is the route Santa will take? Just like on Christmas he has no exact route but you can track his progress on our Santa Tracker.
3. When will the links to the Santa Tracker be posted and where? Because we are borrowing some of Santa’s magic they won’t be posted till about 30 minutes before we leave Glen Rock Fire HQ. They will be posted to the GRFD Facebook Page and the event page.
4. Will Santa hit every street in town? Yes, he will. Especially Iona Place, Diamond Court, and the other dead end streets in Glen Rock.
5. How will we know Santa is coming down the street? The fire chiefs will be ahead of the Engines with their sirens on. You will need to listen for the sirens and come outside.
6. For kids that come to the sidewalk the crews on the engines will be throwing candy canes out until supplies run out. We do ask parents watch their kids so they don’t run out into the street.
7. Santa and the GRFD crew do make stops throughout the night so don’t be alarmed if the GPS tracker isn’t moving.
8. There are two engines out at the same time with Santa. One covers the west side of town and the other the east side of town with Maple Ave being the dividing line.
9. This is a day along event for the GRFD from decorating the fire engines to driving Santa around so there is a chance for Facebook Live from the GRFD Facebook page on our progress throughout the day/night.
