School business and politics should not mix
Wilkin Santana

To the editor:

My wife and I love Ridgewood, and we are happily raising our 2-year-old daughter in the village. We will be here at least for the next 30 years to come.

However, we are not in favor of increased taxes without fair justification or mixing politics and education. It is sad and frustrating to read the school board is seriously considering moving the April school board election to November, where it’s all about politics and national political issues. This will result in putting Ridgewood schools issues to the back burner, just to save a few thousands.

  1. Change the date and save money. How does it introduce politics to the vote? I can flip a switch for a candidate and for/against the budget without thinking “politics”.

    1. you dont get to vote if they stay under the 2%
