River Edge NJ, for the second time in less than a week a NJ Transit Pascack Valley line train was involved in an accident at or near the New Bridge Landing stop.
On Sunday 26-year-old New Milford man was struck and killed by a commuter train in River Edge.
According to NJ Transit the Pascack Valley Line train was headed from Spring Valley to Secaucus Junction when it struck the victim at 12:10 p.m. just east of the New Bridge Landing station.
The victim was pronounced dead at Hackensack University Medical Center a short time later.
None of the 34 aboard either passengers or crew reported any injuries.
Service was suspended on Sunday but resumed at 2:45 p.m
