Serving His Community Twice Over: Glen Rock First Responder Earns Eagle Scout Rank

Glen Rock NJ, In a celebration of youth leadership and civic dedication, the Glen Rock Volunteer Ambulance Corps (GRVAC) is proudly congratulating one of its own.
During a court of honor ceremony at the Community Church of Glen Rock, GRVAC member Andrew Tarrant, alongside two fellow Scouts, was officially awarded the rank of Eagle Scout—the highest and most prestigious achievement in Scouting.
The ceremony brought together civic leaders, first responders, and community members to recognize the exceptional service and leadership displayed by the young men.

Prestigious Milestone: Andrew Tarrant and two fellow Scouts formally achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

Municipal & Police Honors: The Borough of Glen Rock and the Glen Rock Police Department presented special commendations and recognitions to the honorees for their community impact.

Community Presence: Representatives from the Glen Rock Fire Department, Glen Rock Police Department, Glen Rock Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and the Glen Rock Borough Council attended to celebrate the achievement.

Reaching the rank of Eagle Scout requires years of dedicated service, mastering survival and leadership skills, and organizing a comprehensive community service project.
For Andrew Tarrant, service to Glen Rock doesn’t stop with Scouting. As an active volunteer with the Glen Rock Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Tarrant regularly steps up to answer emergency calls and support local emergency medical services (EMS).
