Seven Ridgewood High School students Receive Prestigious Art Award

Ridgewood NJ, Seven Ridgewood High School students have been named recipients of the Montclair Art Museum 2021 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, a remarkable achievement for any young artist. Fourteen pieces of art were recognized, earning three Gold Key awards, four Silver Key awards, and seven Honorable Mentions.


The award winners who were selected as part of the top 30 percent of the most outstanding work submitted among their peers are as follows: Zach Kim: Balloon Boy, Honorable Mention Self Portrait, Honorable Mention Kate Minn: Performance Activism, Silver Key Hyewon Park: Seventeen, Honorable Mention Seung Hee Rhew: Family, Honorable Mention Variety, Honorable Mention Saori Takahashi: Pride: Iteration on Klimt, Silver Key Koinobori, Silver Key In Twos, Silver Key Emergence, Gold Key Oblivion Island, Honorable Mention Lulu Xu: Glow Up, Gold Key My Catastrophic Teenage Years, Gold Key Vivian Yuan: Pomegranate Still Life, Honorable Mention

The virtual Scholastic Art Awards Ceremony will be held on February 25, 2021.
